  • 1.8 million workers suffer from ergonomic-related injuries each year.
  • According to the Occupational Safety and Health Organization (OSHA), businesses spent $60 billion in 2000 on workers' comp claims related to musculoskeletal disorders.
  • OSHA also found that there are 600,000 employees with ergonomics related injuries severe enough to require time off. This absenteeism resulted in a cost to businesses of $11.5 billion in lost revenues.
  • A study by the Government Accounting Office showed that ergonomic programs can reduce musculoskeletal disorder-related costs anywhere from 35-91%.
